The Arkham Car by Caresto

During the fall of 2015 Johan Wejedal Design was a part of in this extraordinary project by renowned custom car builders Caresto as contributer of design and 3D-modeling of the extreme wheel covers, as well as doing prestentation renderings and drawing underlays for creating the decals that were used in the Gumball 3000 rally 2016. Electric vehicles in collaboration with ReDian AB and SUVAB/Carvia


Form 2011 and onwards, Johan Wejedal Design was as doing design and concept illustrations for a series of projects run by ReDian AB. Johan Wejedal Design designed four very different kinds of electric vehicles: The EMPV-project: Electric Multi Purpose Vehicle. This vehicle is currently under development in Sweden. First working prototype was shown in Hannover and Västervik during the fall of 2016, and in Stockholm early 2107. The truck was launched in 2017 under the name Carvia Pro4, but later chagned the name to Inzile Pro4. Check it out at: www.facebook.com/inzileofficial/


The MOVE is a small city car, the 8-WHEEL AATV is an innovative all terrain vehicle and the ARROW, is an electric kitcar. The first prototype of this kit car concept had its premiere at Sportbilsdagen in Västervik 2013-08-18 (see link under the About tab above)

During 2010 Johan Wejedal Design was assigned (by a start up company called Lalabi) as industrial designer and 3D-modeller with responsibility for design, graphics, color and trim etc for a series of baby carriages and strollers. Focus: functionallity, simplicity, safety and great customer freedom in choosing styling and optional accessories within five styling themes.

Ergonomic tool

Tool for lifting heavy plastic bags, designed in collaboration with ReDian AB.
 

Smart mobile phone charger

 
Objective: put an end to tangled wires and bent electric sockets by designing a compact and foldable charger with a cord that can be spooled in, just like on a vacuum cleaner.

3D Class A Surface modelling: Wheels and logos for Opel/Vauxhall

During my time as Digital Scupltor at GM Europe Design in 2007 I worked on these wheels for the 2010 Opel Astra and 2012 Zafira.

I also worked on the modeling of the rear logo.

Bachelors degree thesis in collaboration with Nokia. Made during my studies at Umeå Institute of Design.
 

Brand image project: a car for Fiskars.

Project objective: research a non-automotive brand and design a vehicle from the image and values of that brand. My interpretation of Fiskars tools was "one main user (the driver in this case), enjoyment for many". Therefore I designed a user friendly sporty car that could be enjoyed by a lot of people. Scissor doors was a given. Propulsion: fuel cell electric drive. This project was made in 2005. Rendering made in Alias AutoStudio.

Futurist vehicle that combie an electric scooter with a drone, concieved and designed during my studies at Umeå Institute of Design in 2005.
